Suburban Combination Gas/Electric Water Heater – 6 Gallon, Direct Spark Ignition

Description

The best water heaters on the road today, Suburban’s line of water heaters includes high recovery gas, gas-electric and motor aid models with sizes and features to match the requirements of almost any RV.

Heated water attacks all metals, but not porcelain. That’s why Suburban uses a porcelain-lined, steel water heater tank with an anode rod to “absorb” the electrolytical action – just like your water heater at home. In fact, when a Suburban porcelain-lined tank is properly maintained, tank life may double or triple its three-year limited warranty, saving owners the cost of premature replacement. In addition, every Suburban tank is pressure tested twice during the manufacturing process to ensure its integrity.

Fast recovery means more hot water and fewer cool water cycles. Six gallon Suburban gas water heaters feature 12,000 BTUH input and a recovery rate of 10.2 gallons per hour – that’s the fastest in the industry. Combination gas/electric models also use a 1,440-watt element to recover an additional 6.0 gallons per hour at campsites. For higher recovery, both the gas and electric element may be used simultaneously.

Suburban also uses a copolymer insulation jacket specially molded to fit the tank. This does a better job of retaining heat than the “cardboard” style used on some competitive models.

Water Heaters and Doors are Sold Separately.

All Suburban water heaters are designed for easy installation, operation and maintenance. The limit switch, reset button and on/off electric element rocker switch are conveniently located in a housing behind the removeable outer door. The electric heat element and combination drain plug/anode rod are also located there. For convenience of installation, rough-in openings for Suburban water heaters are small and less likely to interfere with RV exterior design.

Atwood Water Heaters starting at $438.00 Call 218 285-3399 for your model and pricing.

6 Gallon Water Heater – LP, Direct Ignition

Description

All Atwood water heaters feature a patented “through tube” combustion chamber, utilizing the pilot flame to help maintain water temperature rather than losing this heat energy into the atmosphere. All units are lightweight and compact, with all controls accessible from the front for easy servicing. Many Atwood water heater models feature a heat exchange system in which the water from the vehicle’s engine is piped to the water heater and then returned to the engine’s cooling system. This option allows the water in the heater storage tank to be heated by the waste heat from the engine while driving allowing conservation of L.P. gas. All units come complete with door.

Multiple protection features – Problems are prevented with the high temperature limit switch, thermostat, and pressure and temperature relief valve. An externally sealed combustion chamber keeps the outside of the unit clean.

Pre-skin installation – Atwood water heaters can be installed and tested on the coach floor before the sidewalls are set in place. This gives manufacturers more flexibility and virtually eliminates potential problems by testing the unit before the skinning is installed.

Matching access doors – Atwood access doors are painted with tough, durable paint in a variety of popular colors which ensures a clean and attractive exterior.

Mounting options – All 6 and 10 gallon models can be mounted flush into the RV sidewall for an integrated, attractive appearance

Aluminum clad tank – Less weight and the cladding eliminates the need for an anode rod.
